I remember learning about the Holocaust in school and thinking, wow, that really wasn't that long ago, what makes people think that evil has been eliminated. I knew it had the potential to return.

Then there was Operation Paper-clip.

Many of those horrific doctors and "experimenters" were brought to the US and worked for our government.

Genocide is not new and surely wasn't going away after WW2.

And as you stated, dehumanization happens fast when you put people in fear.

You also talked about death- Maybe the key would be to make death a beautiful experience to celebrate and people wouldn't worry that their measly existence is being threatened.

Lots of shitty things came out of it too, but i got to see people's true colors through the process. Some people are no longer worth my time.
